Georgetown rigor.
Jakarta immersion.
Real-world impact.
Georgetown SFS Asia Pacific (GSAP) brings Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service — one of the world’s leading international affairs schools — to the heart of the Asia Pacific. Based in Jakarta, the world’s largest city and headquarters of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), GSAP offers a genuinely different model of graduate education, placing you at the center of the Global South’s most pressing challenges.
From graduate degrees and executive education to applied policy research and field-based learning, GSAP equips students and professionals with the expertise, networks and firsthand experience needed to navigate and shape international affairs across the region and beyond.
Graduate programs
Learn by doing, in one of the most dynamic regions in the world. GSAP’s graduate programs combine the academic excellence of Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service with immersive, field-based learning — equipping you with the skills, perspective and credentials to lead in international affairs.
Executive education
GSAP’s executive education programs meet professionals and institutions where they are — offering rigorous, regionally grounded learning across a range of formats, from the Peace Academy and Global Cities Initiative to programs designed entirely around your organization’s goals.

Policy Labs
Go beyond the classroom and into the field. GSAP’s Policy Labs bring together students, practitioners and regional partners to tackle real policy challenges across the Asia Pacific, producing work that is rigorous, applied and built for impact.

Our faculty
GSAP faculty are leading scholars and experienced practitioners whose work spans international organizations, government and industry across the Asia Pacific. They bring that experience directly to you — challenging how you think, connecting theory to practice, and equipping you with the judgment needed to navigate complex global environments.
Research
Grounded in the real-world policy challenges of the Asia Pacific, GSAP’s research spans four streams — natural resources, urban issues, poverty and politics — conducted in direct collaboration with governments and institutions across the region. The result is rigorous analysis with practical relevance for policymakers, international organizations and development partners.
